From Sleeping in a Car
to Managing Capital
Growing up, stability was never a given. I bounced between hotels with my family, sometimes sleeping in the car. My parents were divorced, and by the time I was a teenager I had dropped out of high school. On paper, I had every reason to stay exactly where I was.
At 19, everything changed. My 10-year-old sister needed a home, and I became that home. I took her in, took out student loans to keep us going, and worked every part-time job I could find. When you’re fighting for someone other than yourself, you find strength you didn’t know you had.
That fight led me to real estate, and real estate became the vehicle that changed everything. I earned my license, built a team, and launched Modern Realty — named one of NAR’s 30 Under 30 in 2018, and ranked the 4th fastest-growing company in Oregon a year later with 521% growth.
Today my focus has evolved. I’ve moved from building a brokerage to building a portfolio — investing in, developing, and managing capital across commercial real estate. As a portfolio manager and private equity fund manager, I now specialize in commercial acquisitions: sourcing, underwriting, and operating assets that generate real returns for the partners who invest alongside me. What hasn’t changed is the principle underneath all of it — People Over Profit.
“People Over Profit — that’s not a slogan. It’s how we invest, build, and lead.”
